Aurora Business and Professional Association (ABPA)

General Information


The ABPA was formed in 1988 to promote seasonal events and small businesses in Aurora. The Association has organized renovation of many office buildings in downtown Aurora, and now seeks to promote tourism in the city.

The ABPA sponsors several events throughout the year including the Merchants Sidewalk Sale in mid-June; the Merchants Back to School and Sidewalk Sale in mid-August; and the Christmas celebration beginning with the Santa Claus parage, Friday after Thanksgiving at about 2pm. The Christmas celebration includes Santa’s visit, lighting the Christmas tree on Second Street around 6pm and A caroler’s candle walk.

The association gathers the second and fourth Tuesday of the month for an 8am breakfast meeting at the Coachlight Inn, 223 Third Street, Aurora.
