April 17, 2012 Commissioners' Meeting
               
                The Dearborn County Board of Commissioners met for a regular meeting at 9:00 am, April 17, 2012, in the Commissioners Conference Room of the County Administration Building, 215B West High Street, Lawrenceburg. Present were Commission President Jeff Hughes and Commissioners Tom Orschell and Shane McHenry. Also present were Auditor Gayle Pennington, County Attorney Andrew Baudendistel, and County Administrator Terri Randall. The Commissioners took the following actions:
 
·         Signed a Resolution to transfer a tax certificate for a property located at 14542 Main Street, Moores Hill to the Town of Moores Hill. This will allow the town to demolish the building and improve the area.
·         Signed a Local Elected Officials Agreement with the Indiana Region 9 Workforce Board. This agreement allows Region 9 to move forward with development and certification of a Local Workforce Investment Board. It was also agreed that Jeff Hughes would finished year as Commissioner Representative.
·         Approved a zone change from Agriculture (A) and General Business (B-2) to Manufacturing Class 2 (M-2) for a property located on Old US 52 in Section 13 of Harrison Township.
·         Approved the sale of a vehicle to the St. Leon Fire Department.
·         Approved Highway Engineer, Todd Listerman to go to County Council for Annual Line Striping Program. 
·         Signed the 2011 Annual Highway Report of Revenue.
·         Contracts approved for EMS and Fire Departments in Miller, Sunman, Dillsboro and Lawrenceburg.
·         Approved  Attorney Andy Baudendistel to meet with Hidden Valley Lake to finalize an Agreement with HVL Officers, Sheriff’s Office and HVL POA. 
 
In other business, the Commissioners considered the following matters:
 
·         Tabled a Payroll Schedule Change until June 5, 2012 meeting. The information should be presented at the May 22, 2012 County Council meeting and then brought back to Commissioners.
·         Were notified of an opening on the Lawrenceburg Township Trustee Advisory Board. Tony Gilb was recommended as replacement.
·         Administrator Terri Randall updated BOC regarding the Fire and EMS Study. She is going to hold a focus group to help prepare for a public meeting to be held May 3, 2012. She reported that six RFQs were received and opened for Construction Manager. She also reported the Hoosier Square move is complete. 
·         Ordinance adopting a supplemental for Dearborn County Code Book to update is for all approved ordinances was presented.  
·         Claims and minutes were approved from April 3, 2012.
·         Attorney Andy Baudendistel presented information regarding parcels on Stateline Road. There are three left to settle.
·         Commissioner Tom Orschell spoke about losing two citizens that were very involved with County Boards for many years, Earl Dawson and Rodney Dennerline. They will be missed.
·         Commissioner Shane McHenry wants to move forward getting roads cleared of trash. Highway Supervisor Tim Greive will work on this.
