General Information

The Public Health Nurse Division of the Health Department provides immunizations, TB tests, Lead testing, blood pressure checks and home healthcare visits, among other responsibilities that are too numerous to list.

2 Public flu clinics have been scheduled for 2011/12 flu season:

Monday October 24th from 2PM - 7PM @ Agner Hall at the Dearborn County Fairgrounds
Friday October 28th from 10AM - 1PM @ the Dearborn Adult Center in Lawrenceburg

These clinics are for anyone 6 months or older. Anyone under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian with them. The cost is $5 per person, payable by cash or check-with proper ID-only. Please feel free to call us for directions.

ALL FEES ARE COLLECTED UP FRONT BY CASH OR CHECK ONLY. WE DO NOT FILE YOUR INSURANCES OR ACCEPT CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS. RECEIPTS ARE PROVIDED SO YOU MAY FILE WITH YOU INSURANCE IF NEEDED. (Prices are subject to change as our purchasing costs change.)

Children's Immunization Clinics Schedule for 2011

The following dates are subject to change as needed:

Nov. 2nd, 3rd, & 4th
Dec. 7th, 8th, & 9th

All clinics are held in the basement of the Dearborn County Administration Buiding from 9am-11am. These are walk-in clinics. No appointment necessary.

A $3.00 donation is requested. No one is refused vaccinations due to inability to give a donation.

Every child receiving vaccinations must bring a complete and updated shot record at each visit to the clinic. All children under 18 years of age are required to have a parent/guardian present.

WE DO NOT PROVIDE IMMUNIZATIONS TO ANYONE 19 YEARS OR OLDER AT OUR CLINICS. IF YOU ARE 19 OR OLDER AND NEED IMMUNIZATIONS, PLEASE CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT.

Also, IF YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY PAYS 100% FOR VACCINES, WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE INSURANCE YOU PAY FOR, BY CONTACTING YOUR CHILD'S PHYSICIAN TO GET THE VACCINES NEEDED. WE CAN NOT CONTINUE TO PROVIDE IMMUNIZATIONS TO CHILDREN WHO HAVE PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE THAT COVERS 100% OF VACCINES.
