The Recorder is elected to a four-year term, with a two term limitation. It is the primary duty of the County Recorder to record instruments submitted for recording and maintain those records for perpetuity. As the Recorder's staff, we are dedicated to maintaining and preserving the records of the county. However, the Recorder's staff WILL NOT perform searches or provide legal opinions. If you know the recording information, you may request a copy from our office. Otherwise, please feel free to come to our office and access the information from one of our public computers.
