Why can’t I bring recyclables/electronics/motor oil during your 8:30 to 4:30 office hours?

From Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, our Operations staff processes recyclables from the 10 drop-off trailers plus the materials collected from our business and school route.  For safety reasons, we choose to dedicate their time to these duties.  Please visit us during our drive thru hours Friday from noon to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm to drop off these materials.

Why don’t you accept household hazardous waste (HHW) materials every weekend in the drive thru?

To maintain the highest level of safety for the public and for our employees, HHW collection is limited to the last Wednesday of the month, April to November, from noon to 6:00 pm.  Our HHW collection staff is trained to OSHA’s Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER).  For the convenience of our customers, we also accept general recyclables during this time.
