The 2021 pay 2022 Spring Property Tax installment is due Tuesday, May 10 th,  2022;  both Spring and Fall tax bills are included with the bill you received in March of this year.  We invite you to visit for tax info, you may view, print your bill and  pay your taxes from this website; or you may also use county’s website to get information and pay your taxes; as well as useful information about other county departments.  You may pay your property tax in one of the following ways:

  • In person at the Treasurer’s Office Monday – Friday from 8:30 – 4:30 p.m.
  • By mail postmarked by May 10th, 2022 to Dearborn Co. Treasurer, 165 Mary Street., Lawrenceburg, IN   Enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope if you would like your receipt returned.
  • Green Drop Box during and after hours located outside the Main Entrance of the Dearborn County Government Center by May 10th, 2022. (Location to the right as you come up the stairs).  Please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope if you would like your receipt returned.
  • By credit card by visiting website at Choose Property Tax- select state and county, use name or parcel number, select which parcels you want to pay, select method of payment. Pay with a Credit card, a 2.5% service fee will apply; pay with E Check a $2.00 service fee will apply.  Follow the rest of the prompts to finish.

The office of the Dearborn County Treasurer is a constitutional office. The constitution of Indiana and Indiana statutory law provides for the election of a treasurer in each county. The treasurer is responsible for the collection of county property taxes and is the custodian for all money belonging to the county.

The treasurer is also responsible to invest the public funds in a manner which provides the highest investment return with maximum security.

The Treasurer is responsible for the mailing of the tax statements and for the collection and distribution of the taxes generated in Dearborn County. The treasurer also collects drainage assessments, excise tax, sewer liens, inn keepers tax and inheritance tax.

Term: 4 years - elected - two term limit in 12 years.

Chief function of the Treasurer is to collect and retain custody of and disperse county funds.

  • Also collects Inheritance taxes, excise taxes, inn keepers taxes.
