Ethics & Hiring Information

Dearborn County is dedicated to maintaining fair, equitable and transparent hiring practices as well as enforcing governmental ethics of county employees. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we encourage applications from eligible and qualified persons regardless of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, or disability.

Minutes and Agendas

The agendas and minutes for County Commissioners, County Council, and other Boards and Commissions listed on this web site are provided as a service to our citizens. Efforts are made to make agendas (when used) and minutes available as soon as reasonably requested.  When minutes are provided in “draft” form, citizens should not rely on the information to take action until such time as the official minutes are approved in a public meeting.  Questions about minutes and agendas may be directed to the Office of the Dearborn County Auditor at (812) 537-8807.

Open Records/Open Meetings

Dearborn County follows the Indiana Open Door Law. The Open Door Law is designed to guarantee that the public has access to public records of governmental bodies in Indiana. The Open Door Law legislates the methods by which public meetings are conducted.  Public records requests may be made to the specific department or through the County Auditor.  For your convenience, please complete the following form and submit it to the County Auditor via email, fax, or in person.
