Cost-Share

Dearborn County SWCD offers Cost Share for certain Backyard Conservation Practices. To be eligible for a practice you must live and own land in Dearborn County, have resource concerns, and contact the SWCD for an application and visit. Call 812-926-2406 ext. 3 or email kyla.dick@in.nacdnet.net to schedule an appointment.

Cost Share Projects

  • Rain Gardens will be cost shared at 50% of the cost of the materials up to $500 per homeowner
  • Native Plants will be cost shared at 50% up to $100 per homeowner
  • Rain Barrels will be cost shared at $25 for one per homeowner
  • Tumbling Composters will be cost shared at $50 for one per homeowner.
  • Native tree(s) will be cost shared at 50% up to $75 per homeowner
